Scotiabank has generously agreed to become the Run Event Sponsor for the 31st Anniversary of the GBPA Conchman Triathlon, taking place on Taino Beach on November 4th.
Scotiabank was pleased with its sponsorship of the event in 2016, and particularly the success of the inaugural Schools Competition driven by the Bank’s global philanthropic focus on youth. Five schools in Grand Bahama took part last year with 15 teams participating. The committee expects more schools to participate this year with additional teams, such was the enthusiasm of those who took part.
Bruno Styles, Manager, Scotiabank Freeport said that the Bank was keen to encourage children into more sporting activity and believed that the GBPA Conchman Triathlon was a worthwhile event in this regard.
Christopher Baker, Chairman Conchman Triathlon Committee is delighted to have Scotiabank as the Run Event Sponsor. He said that he expected to have Scotiabank enter a team in the Corporate Challenge Cup with one of the executives from the Freeport Branch already committed to participate in the Run.
